Loved this! Recently wrote something similar because I was lost in the ether of standing still instead of progressing forward. It takes a lot of courage to move forward and so many people forget that life is about taking chances and hoping for the best outcome.
Great stuff. A reminder that sometimes staying still to try and wait for that perfect moment, can often lead to us missing moments which although maybe not perfect, are no less incredible and can be forever lost to this type of striving for a type of perfection which is often not attainable.
This piece captures something so quietly true. We spend so long trying to choose ‘right’ that we forget the cost of standing still. The fruit softens, the door closes, time moves with or without our certainty. What stayed with me most is how fear disguises itself as wisdom. Sometimes the braver act is simply to move, imperfectly, rather than wait for a moment that will never feel flawless.
So beautiful. Saved this for later. As I explore the privilege and paralysis of possibility in my own life.
